This oil painting was sketched on a winter morning at a beach in Chigasaki city in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan and then painted in my studio. Despite the cold temperature, many surfers were enjoying the waves. Pacific Ocean that you can see from Chigasaki beaches has a distinctly beautiful color of teal.
